Jen and Keegan’s wedding at Blue Sky Ranch is one of the most beautifully-done winter weddings we have seen! Sticking with a contemporary strapless wedding gown from Avenia bridal shop, the bride stayed warm in a gorgeous fur stole. In fact, if she was cold you wouldn’t know it from the heartwarming photos by Gideon Photography.
Their wedding photographs reveal how thoughtfully Jen and Keegan and their team at Michelle Leo Events set up their atmosphere, letting the snow-filled setting create the perfect backdrop with a few key rustic elements to warm up the colour palette.
Succulents, thought typically thought of as heat-loving plants, blended with sprigs of evergreens in the bouquets and flower arrangements. What a beautiful, creative way to bring in soft shades of green in this otherwise all-white affair!
Tiny touches at the reception continued the rustic theme, like natural wood setting holders and antlers on the paper suites. Touches of grey, navy blue and gold created an altogether regal look which played against the organic setting in a charming way. The beautiful horses at Blue Sky Ranch served as welcoming crew as the guests arrived to see icicle-draped barns and whiskey barrels as the event settings.

Bridesmaids played into the icy blue grey colour palette in their deep fog gowns, while the groomsmen picked up the rustic elements of the barn and barrels by wearing varying shades of brown shoes.
Having the ceremony inside a clear tent allowed the gorgeous landscape to stay a focal point throughout. A wedding ceremony inside tent — decorated with old whiskey barrels, different size lanterns and a simple arch decorated with greenery and flowers.
A dessert station offered campfire-inspired treats including High West S’mores, lemon posset, blueberry compote, old-fashioned High West Grillswich (a grilled glazed donut topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream) and mini dark chocolate brownies topped with powdered sugar.
