From Vows and Peaks...Aspen, Colorado is one of the best places in Colorado and is an awesome place to elope. When Rebecca and David reached out about their elopement, they mentioned they wanted their moms to attend but still wanted to do something on their own. We went over some different spots and talked about different vendor options. I have to admit, I love when couples go all out on their vendors because it absolutely elevates their elopement experience. They ended up booking a videographer and hiking elopement hair and makeup artist to join us for their sunrise hike in Aspen.
We met up at 3am at the trailhead and started our hike under the stars. We arrived and set up “camp” so Rebecca could get her makeup done before the blue hour dusk sky. It’s always so fun to watch hair and makeup get done at the location as it provides such a cool and unique backdrop. They finished up as sunrise was starting and shared a beautiful first look as the alpenglow was hitting a nearby peak. What a magical first look and shows that timing is everything! They then shared some private vows, explored the entire area for some fun portrait photos, and signed their marriage licence on each other’s backs before heading down the hill to share some private moments with their moms. It was a really fun and adventurous way to start the morning!
We then met up with their moms near the trailhead where they held some fun stories and looked at photos from sunrise. It was very chill and stress-free for everyone and their moms appreciated having that time with them after their big adventure. It was the perfect way to combine their adventure along with some intimate moments with their moms. Rebecca and David went all out on their vendors and were able to combine a lot of unique and fun elements into their elopement in Aspen, Colorado. I was super stoked to help them plan and capture their big day!
