How many guests? Approximately 200

How did you and your partner meet?
We are high school sweethearts! We met in biology class when we were 17 and were put next to each other on the seating chart. We went on to attend college together – and the rest is history!

How did he propose?
Josh took me back to the classroom where we met and proposed right next to our old desks. About 25 of our family and friends were hiding in the classroom closet and burst out to surprise us after I said yes!

What’s your most important piece of advice for creating and maintaining a strong relationship?
Love is more of an action than a feeling. The best way a couple can show love to one another is by consistently serving one another and putting the other before themselves. By doing this, you are creating a loving bond that will last a lifetime!

Tell us about your wedding gown and how you chose it:
I thought I wanted a wedding dress that was the exact replica of Kate Middleton’s, but when I put on a similar gown, I looked like my grandmother! When I tried on my dress, I absolutely loved the style and it just felt right for me, even though it wasn’t what I had originally envisioned. With the help of an amazing seamstress, I was even able to design a new illusion neckline on my dress that was reminiscent of Kate’s. I got my fairytale dress after all!

What sort of style did you envision for your wedding day?
My style was classic elegance with a hint of gold.

What was your favorite moment from the day?
My favorite moment from the day was being out on the dance floor with all our closest friends and family.

Any DIY décor elements?
I DIY’d most of the signs, the table numbers, and our programs.

If you could do it all over again, what would you change?
If I could do it all over again, I would schedule in a few minutes after the ceremony for just the two of us to soak in the moment!

Any tips that you can give to future brides?
Have someone pack you extra cake and put it in your getaway car!
