The hazy days of winter are coming to an end, and the overcast blue grey skies are inspiring me with softer palettes, more pastels, and less colour saturation. So where can we go with smoky blue grey shades? Take a look at our inspiration board to help you see our vision for an elegant wedding using this colour palette.
Light Blue Grey Wedding
When you put it all together, you can even get a charming old world vibe. Textured light grey invitations with wispy white calligraphy, lots of flowy marian blue fabrics like chiffon to drape the tablescape and your ceremony aisle, and plenty of draping greenery like ivy or laurel wreaths.
The men in crisp, tailored grey suits with rich navy blue accents would be ultra chic, and I love the little cascading flowers in the boutonnieres.
The ladies can channel Greek goddesses in convertible chiffon dresses tied in a variety of Grecian-inspired necklines. (Designer Sorella Vita has a stunning collection of convertible gowns worth checking out.) Add bunches of white flowers, like rose buds or cheerful baby’s breath bouquets. And finish it off with an ultra sleek white tiered cake, like this one using the laurel wreath motif and a white rose blossom.
Using these colours, you could inspire a totally tranquil atmosphere at your wedding! Let us know what you think!
