And we’re back! Let’s welcome this Tuesday with a beautiful styled shoot at Hayne House captured by Matt Ebbage Photography. If you didn’t get to see Hayne house’s Lapis blue styled shoot, backtrack to Part I to see it now. Next up is their super beautiful Pantone’s Kale styled shoot.
For their seasonal Open Day, the design team at Hayne house luxury wedding venue in Kent, UK have set up the venue to inspire brides with their expert take at wedding style. Today we’re checking out their use of Pantone’s 2017 popular colour of kale green. By surrounding the venue in luscious green foliage, they’re not only giving couples a great idea on maximizing their floral budget by taking a minimalist approach to the flower blossoms, they’re actually showing off the natural beauty of the landscaping and gardens surrounding the venue. According to the folks at Hayne House, their designers think that the use of greenery is underrated, and “they believe dramatic lashings of greenery and luscious leaves, with splashes of flowers, can add richness, structure, and texture.” And to use kale green is such a smart colour focus, because it’s a softer green with bluish undertones, and therefore it blends really nicely with other colours you might want in your wedding. They’ve gone with a complimentary natural browns in the invitations and decorations, a classic sunny yellow flower arrangement from Dream of Flowers, as well as a few succulents that bring in the kale with a touch of purple. It’s an overall warming and cheery effect, while still elevated and classy!

Are you getting enough greens?
On the 29th January 2017, for their Open Day, the Hayne House styling team put together two tablescapes inspired by Pantone’s colours of the year: Kale and Lapis Blue.
On the lapis Blue table, the team wanted to show couples that their table centrepieces can be very personal, and took their inspiration from items normally on display in the Hunting Lodge. They used China Blue pieces to decorate the table, but with the caveat that couples who embrace this idea, should not forget to take out insurance!
For their second tablescape, the team chose one of their five a day, kale as their inspiration. They celebrated the beauty of greenery in the knowledge that using more foliage can be a cost effective way to help a couples’ flower budget go a little further. Surrounded by 35 acres of landscaped gardens, the team have never made a secret of the fact that they love gardens and all things green. They believe dramatic lashings of greenery and luscious leaves, with splashes of flowers, can add richness, structure, texture, can be very fresh, natural looking and can be underrated.
We hope that you will fall in love with these two styling ideas.
