When we think of romance and elegant, and includes the perfect amount of gold accents for a hint of glam,this wedding fits the bill. Perfectly captured by Caroline Tran I’ve already been swooning over her work. LOVE all the sparkly chic elements! I can’t get over the black bridesmaid dresses and eye catching black and gold heels! The reception is absolutely glamorous. One thing was more elegant than the next! From the gorgeous candle lined aisle, grand chandeliers to the stunning tablescapes with soft and lush florals filled in tall glass vases as wedding centerpieces by Amy Burke Designs to the exquisite gold wedding cake by Studio Cake! Everything is simply gorgeous! Especially love that last shot the bride and groom were dancing!
From the Bride…When we got engaged, Mike and I knew we wanted to celebrate in San Francisco.. the city where we met and the city where we fell in love. The Bently Reserve was the first venue we visited, and even though we went through the experience of researching and visiting others.. it was clear that we had found the one. Being romantics, we set our date for September 1st, the weekend of our four year dating anniversary. Midway through our planning we found out the amazing news that we would be moving to Chicago soon after our big day. We sought out to make our wedding day our final farewell party with all our closest and dearest friends and family.
Our engagement period was over a year and a half and we really took advantage of it. Having a lot of time to plan was a blessing for us as we were able to really enjoy wedding planning! Mike was a very active groom and together, we took joy in all types of wedding fun.. from camping out at a Monique Lhuillier sample sale, hand envelope-lining our stationary,even taking ballroom dance lessons.. all meanwhile packing up our SF condo, finding a new place in Chicago, buying new furniture and making plans for our new adventure to the Midwest…
Some of our favorite details: The day of the wedding was a very busy day.. we had a first look.. which was surprisingly emotional. Watching our beautiful day unfold (with the help of all our amazing vendors) and being surrounded by so much love made our day a dream come true. We wanted to thank everyone who was able to share our celebration with us but knowing it would be impossible to talk to everyone.. we wrote personalized messages to each guest on the back of their menu card. With our move to Chicago imminent, we served Chicago style hot dogs as our midnight snack, making our love story come full circle!
