Today I’m ogling the lovely unique styling of a woodland wedding styled shoot workshop captured by Nicola Dixon Photography + some amazing creatives. I first laid eyes on the amazing floral arrangements – I am loving the unique flowers and greenery and how they’re put together by Lucy Macnicoll Floral Design. I’ve never seen anything like them before. And the way they incorporate dried flowers and plants mixed with fresh ones – they’re so perfect for capturing the woodsy feeling of this wedding shoot. It all takes place at Camp Katur near Bedale – a perfect setting if you’re looking for an outdoor woodsy wedding of your own.
I have to start by saying I’m not sure I’ve ever been quite so impressed at how easily a groom fits into a wedding atmosphere as I am with this one. His trendy look with a full beard and suspenders is so masculine and outdoorsy! (I love the cranberry red accents worked into the more traditional forest colours of dark green and brown.) And his bride looks effortlessly gorgeous in a flowy gown and upswept hairdo. Last, but not least, the way they’ve created a sort of altar out of stacked logs with candles on tops at various heights is just a feast for the eyes, that I can’t wait for you to check it all out for yourself. It’s leaving me with plenty ideas for not just weddings, but maybe even trying to recreate this romantic woodland space in my own garden! Hmmmm….

Amazing way they incorporate dried flowers for wedding cake & decor.
