Today we’re sharing a gorgeous rustic and relaxed wedding from Darin Collison Photography.  Ciara and Tim met at an 18th birthday party as Tim played football with a couple of Ciara’s friends. He proposed one Valentine’s Day at home over breakfast and amidst some stressful home renovations and DIY projects, it was the perfect surprise! The two celebrated with their loved ones at Gum Gully Farm (Australia), with their hearts set on a floral-filled and vintage styled wedding.

Rustic and Relaxed Wedding + Champagne wedding gown by Sottero and Midgley

How did you and your partner meet?
Tim played footy with a couple of friends of mine and we were invited to a team mates 18th birthday

How did he propose?
At home over breakfast on Valentines day. We had just finished laying the merbau on our deck. We have done a lot of DIY at home during our renovations.

What’s your most important piece of advice for creating and maintaining a strong relationship?
Communication, compromise and just having fun. Doing things we both enjoy together and apart.

Wedding Date:
22 Nov 2016

How many guests?
90

Tell us about your wedding gown and how you chose it:
It was a Sottero and Midgley gown. Champagne in colour with crystals, beading and lace. Simple and Elegant. I thought I would go look at dresses then have it made. But this one was just what I wanted and I knew a really good dress maker who could alter it to fit perfectly.

What sort of style did you envision for your wedding day?
Florals, vintage and relaxed atmosphere.

What was your favorite moment from the day?
The Reception. Being surrounded by all our family and friends there to celebrate us. And feeding the deer.

Any DIY décor elements?
My mum, dad and bridesmaids all helped with bunting, table runners, table numbers and a few other pieces.

If you could do it all over again, what would you change?
Nothing!

Any tips that you can give to future brides?
Organise all you can early as you can and do what you want not what family and friends want. After all it’s your and your future husbands day!
