Emerald green is absolutely one of my favorite winter colours. It’s such a classic “cold” colour, derived from the only colour that survives in nature year-round in some places – the deep green of evergreen trees. Fir, spruce, pine, cedar, holly…these are the natural palette of winter in the mountains. So it makes a perfect anchor for your winter wedding colour palette.
Today’s inspiration board uses threes shades of emerald green to create our wintry look. The deep emerald green invitations and paper suites are a perfect way to invite your guests to your wintry wonderland. Using lots of natural greenery like wreaths on the walls and boughs of evergreen on the mantle will set your palette as well as create a wonderful pine scent in the air! Tie wide green ribbons on your silverware or at the corners of the tables. Then, use warm but muted tones for your fabrics, like a beautiful mauve chiffon gown. Accent with gold details for a touch of elegance, like jewelry, accessories, and place settings. Finally, surround the venue in giant candles of varying sizes to add that final warm touch, both figuratively and literally! What are your favorite ways to balance cool winter hues while creating a warm atmosphere?
